MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – The Salve Regina men's lacrosse team continues to give back to the community as the Seahawks hosted their third annual free boys lacrosse kickoff clinic last week at Gaudet Field.

On Sunday, March 10 sixty five young players from Island Youth Lacrosse (IYL) came from Middletown and Newport to participate in an hour and half clinic organized and ran by the Seahawks. The team ran various stations with the kids including stretching and agilities, stick skill sets, one vs. one play, shooting, line drills, all culminating with full field team competitions.

After a short break in the afternoon, the Seahawks welcomed seventy five young athletes from Portsmouth Youth Lacrosse (PYL) for their own hour and half clinic Sunday afternoon. Clinic participants ranged in age from first to eighth grade and participated in the same stations as the IYL.

This is the third year Salve Regina has hosted a free youth lacrosse clinic at Gaudet Field.
