CCC Goalie of the Week: Kohl Reddy

Kohl Reddy was named CCC Goalie of the Week.

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University sophomore goalie Kohl Reddy (Vancouver, B.C.) as its Goalie of the Week for men's ice hockey.

Reddy allowed just one goal in Salve Regina's home-and-home CCC series against Suffolk. First on the road, he earned his first career shutout, making 31 saves in a 3-0 victory. He followed that up by making 11 saves at home to earn his second straight win, this one coming with a 3-1 result. He finished the week with a 0.50 goals-against average and a .977 save percentage.

Kohl is the most competitive player we have in the dressing room," said head coach Zech Klann. "We are extremely excited to see all of his hard work both on and off the ice get recognized with this award!"

"This past weekend Kohl showed the athleticism that we were excited about when recruiting him to Newport," said assistant coach Chris Davis. "His work ethic and dedication to his teammates are unmatched. Kohl deserves the award for his performance in the Suffolk series and we are excited to see his play continue to improve and grow as a Seahawk netminder."

Salve Regina (2-0-0, 2-0-0 CCC) travels to face Wentworth on Friday, November 11,in another Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest 7 p.m.
