ECAC Rookie of the Week: Cameron Russo

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University men's ice hockey forward Cameron Russo (Billerica, Mass.) has earned the Rookie of the Week award for the Eastern College Athletic Conference Northeast (ECACNE).

Russo scored two goals against Johnson & Wales on February 17. The first helped to break a 1-1 tie, while the other was on an empty net to seal the victory for the Seahawks. After only appearing in one game game through the Seahawks first 16 contests, Russo has been in the lineup seven of the last nine games and recorded points in four.

The Seahawks will host the Wildcats again on Saturday February 27, in the quarterfinals of the ECAC Northeast playoffs at 3:10 p.m.
