• Salve Regina upset the Golden Bears last year in the quartfinals of the ECAC Northeast play offs for its first win in the series since 2011.

• Junior John Scorcia and sophomore David Chiokadze were named the ECAC Northeast Player and Goalie of the Week for the week ending 2/18.
• Scorcia posted three points for the Salve Regina men's ice hockey team. Scorcia scored the first two goals of the game before handing out an assist on the first goal of the third period. With the three points, the junior moved into fourth all-time in points at Salve Regina with 77.
• Posting his second-highest saves total this season, Chiokadze helped the Seahawks to a 6-1 win in the crucial ECAC Northeast contest last week. The sophomore goalie allowed just one goal late in the third on a power play. The .971 save percentage was Chiokadze's highest of the season until his shutout against Nichols Monday night. 

• Salve Regina improved to 10-13 on the season with a 1-0 win over Nichols Monday night. 
• With 4:59 left in the game, sophomore Marc Biggs collected a loose puck in the netrual zone and sent it hard into the top right corner of the net for the game winning goal. 
• Sophomore David Chiokadze made 30 saves in his first collegiate shutout for his third-straight game with at least 30 saves in the net. 
• Both teams overcame a combined 46 penalty minutes, not allowing a power play goal.

• ... started a season with two wins? In 2005-06, Salve Regina opened with victories over Johnson & Wales and Framingham State.
• ... started a season unbeaten through first three games? In 2007-08, Salve Regina opened with a win and a tie over this year's first two opponents (Franklin Pierce and Stonehill) before beating Framingham State in the third game of the season.
• ... posted at least 10 wins in a season? In 2012-13 when the Seahawks went 10-14-3 and made the ECAC Northeast championship game for the first time in program history. 

• Salve Regina returns its top five scorers from a year ago in junior captain John Scorcia (30 points • 11g, 19a), sophomore Cameron Gaudet (25 points • 14g, 11a), junior Michael Naso (25 points • 10g, 15a), and sophomores Marc Biggs (24 points • 14g, 10a) and Peter Gintoli (24 points • 12g, 12a). 
• Last season was the first time since 2003-04 that the Seahawk line featured at least five players with 20 or more points on the season.
• Gintoli leads the Seahawks with 22 points on the season (8g, 14a) while Scorcia leads the team with 11 goals on the year. 
• Freshman Jonathan Felteau and Naso lead the team with four power play goals each. 
• Scorcia leads the team with two shorthanded goals.
• Gintoli and Biggs are currently ranked sixth and seventh in the league in points. 
• Gintoli is fourth in the league in assists with 14. 
• Scorcia is tied for second in the league with 11 goals.
• Leading the Golden Bears is senior Brian Prost with 20 points (10g, 10a).
• Senior John Kelly has a team-high 15 assists on the season for WNE. 

• Salve Regina head coach Andy Boschetto enters his fourth season at the helm of the Seahawks.
• He led the team to the ECAC Northeast playoffs for the first time since the 2009-10 season.
• The 10 regular season wins last year are the most for the team since the 2007-08 season.
• Boschetto was honored as Co-Coach of the Year by the ECAC Northeast last season.
