EPILEPSEY AWARENESS
  • The Seahawks join with the women's ice hockey team in the effort to raise awareness for the Epilepsy Foundation of New England.
  • Salve Regina will wear special purple jerseys to raise awareness while members of the women's ice hockey team will be collecting donations and selling tee-shirts in the effory to help the foundation.
ECAC NORTHEAST PRESEASON POLL
  • Salve Regina ranks second in the 2013-14 Eastern College Athletic Association (ECAC) Northeast preseason coaches' poll (54 points).
  • The Seahawks finished last year with a 5-7-2 mark in the conference to earn a No. 5 seed.
  • After defeating No. 4 Western New England in the opening round of the conference tournament, the Seahawks went on to upset No. 2 Nichols before falling to No. 1 Wentworth in the conference title game.

  • Last season was the first time since 2003-04 that the Seahawk line featured at least five players with 20 or more points on the season.

  • Freshman Jonathan Felteau is second in the league in freshman scoring with five points (2g, 3a)
  • Sophomore Brandon Gilmore is the returning leading scorer for the Colonels after he finished his freshman campaign with 21 points (9g, 12a). 
  • Freshman Michael Vallescuro and sophomore Frankie Posillico lead the Colonels with three points each. Vallescuro has a goal and two assists while Posillico has three assists on the year.
COACHES' CORNER
  • Salve Regina head coach Andy Boschetto enters his fourth season at the helm of the Seahawks.
  • He led the team to the ECAC Northeast playoffs for the first time since the 2009-10 season.
  • The 10 regular season wins last year are the most for the team since the 2007-08 season.
  • Boschetto was honored as Co-Coach of the Year by the ECAC Northeast last season.

  • Junior John Scorcia ranks fifth all-time with 43 assists entering his junior season.
