BOSTON, Mass. – Senior forward Casey Shade (Anchorage, Alaska) scored a goal and added a pair of assists as the Wentworth men's ice hockey team used three third period goals to snap a 3-all tie and earn a 6-3 win over Salve Regina in an ECAC Northeast Contest at Matthews Arena.

The Leopards got on the board first when junior Joel Vastl (North Salem, N.H.) caused a turnover and put a shot to the inside of the right post at 7:09. With 6:03 left in the frame the Seahawks tied the game on a powr play goal from junior William Gomolinski (Western Springs, Ill.), which was set up by freshmen Joe Kuta (Andover, Mass.) and John Scorcia (Hudson, Fla.).

Freshman Mike Domsodi (Kirkland, Que.) and Shade set up junior Shaun Jameson (Long Beach, Calif.) on the power play at 3:24 to give the hosts a 2-1 lead before, just 36 seconds later, Domsodi scored from senior forward Skylur Jameson (Long Beach, Calif.) and Shade.

Salve Regina pulled within one at the 11:54 mark when junior Mike Censio (Milan, Italy) set up classmate Cody Zweifel (Dallas, Texas) and evened the score at the 5:35 mark of the third period on a goal from freshman Chad Goodwin, set up by Censio.

The Seahawk lead wouldn't last long as Shade netted what held up as the game winner at 6:11, assisted by Skylur Jameson. With that helper, Skylur Jameson moved into second place on the Leopards' all-time scoring list with 148 career points.

A minute and three seconds later the Leopards increased their lead to 5-3 when freshman Kevin Crowe (Galloway, N.J.) and junior Andrew Yarber (Livonia, Mich.) set up sophomore Cameron Gibson (Valencia, Calif.) before sophomore Fred Gervasi (Mississauga, Ont.) rounded out the scoring with a goal set up by Vastl and freshman Mike Novella (New Haven, Conn.) at 14:54.

Junior Mike Jarboe (Grosse Point Park, Mich.) made 19 saves in the win, while junior Mike McDonald (Whitby, Ont.) made 22 saves in defeat. Wentworth held a 28-22 shot advantage.

Winners of two straight the Leopards improve to 12-6-1 (5-2-1 ECAC Northeast) and host Nichols on Thursday night. Salve Regina looks to end a four-game skid when the Seahawks host Johnson & Wales on Wednesday night.
