NEWPORT, R.I. - Connecticut College earned a 49-39 victory over the Salve Regina University men's basketball team in a low-scoring, defensive slugfest between non-conference opponents Tuesday evening.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Both teams held the other to a season-low in points and under 30% shooting.
- Turnovers were the difference in the game as the Camels forced 24 leading to 23 points while only turning it over 10 times themselves. leading to 15 points.
- Cam Schainfeld and RJ Casey each had 10 points to lead the Camels scoring.
- Mikey Spencer led all scorers with 15 points on 5-16 shooting, 3-10 from distance.
- Salve Regina held a 8-2 lead in the first half, but a 21-6 run put the Camels ahead and the Seahawks never got closer than seven points the rest of the night.
