WENHAM, Mass. (February 19, 2022) - Shooting under 40 percent for only the third time this season, Salve Regina University men's basketball suffered its worst defeat of the year, 93-70, at Gordon College in the Bennett Center in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) regular-season finale. The win for the Fighting Scots (11-12, 8-10 CCC) on their Senior Day secured the No. 7 Seed in the 2022 Commonwealth Coast Conference Men's Basketball Championships where they'll host No. 10 Seed Curry College on Monday in First Round action.

Salve Regina had already secured its spot in the postseason last Saturday, and nearly had a chance at the top overall seed until Nichols bested Endicott in overtime last Wednesday.

The Seahawks defeated the Scots by 20 points in the meeting at the Rodgers Recreation Center (93-73) on January 8. Today, it was all Gordon.
