NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University sophomore Clay Brochu (North Kingstown, R.I.) as its Rookie of the Week for men's basketball.

CCC Rookie of the Week - Brochu had a strong all-around game for Salve Regina as the Seahawks defeated Gordon, 93-73. Brochu scored 14 points on 5-for-11 (45.5 percent) shooting and recorded five assists. He also made eight steals, handed out five assists, and did not turnover the ball.

Salve Regina (8-3, 3-1 CCC) returns to action Wednesday, January 12, with a road game versus Roger Williams in a CCC matchup at 7:30 p.m.
