Men's Basketball #5 - Seahawks earn NABC Team Academic Excellence Award (June 2015)
NEWPORT, R.I. - Each spring, the National Association of Basketball Coaches recognizes men's collegiate basketball programs which excelled in academics during the previous season with the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award. The NABC celebrates the overall academic success of these outstanding programs.
In order to receive the Team Academic Excellence Award, a program must achieve a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the previous season.
Each institution must count the grade point averages of all men's student-athletes competing during the previous season in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA Division I and II. Salve Regina qualifies for the second straight season.
