NEWPORT, R.I. – The Salve Regina University student-athletes came out in full force last Saturday, April 13, to wrap up national Division III week as athletes from all of the university's teams not in competition volunteered at Special Olympics held at Gaudet Field in partnership with Special Olympics R.I., East Bay Games.

NEWPORT, R.I. - For the first time in many years, John Kavanagh '95 and Matt Coute '06 missed the annual Salve Regina University alumni basketball game (February 2, 2013). And it wasn't because the ground hog saw its shadow.

QUINCY, Mass.- The fourth-seeded Eastern Nazarene men’s basketball team downed fifth-seeded Salve Regina 78-64 in the quarterfinals of the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament and the program’s first home playoff game in 12 years.

Junior Isiah Pringle (Queens, N.Y.) returns for a second straight year on the second team while senior William Smiley (Saunderstown, R.I.) joins his teammate as an honorable mention selection.

WENHAM, MA— Senior forward David Dempsey (Wallingford, Conn.) recorded 24 points and junior guard Park Thomas (Scottsdale, Ariz.) added 18 points and six assists to lead the Fighting Scots to an 87-64 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) win over Salve Regina University tonight in Gordon's Bennett Athletic Center.
