MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - Three goals in three minutes of the first quarter propelled the Salve Regina University field hockey team to a 5-3 victory over visiting Nichols College in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday afternoon.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Before the game the Seahawks honored their Class of 2023 (Sophie Beauchesne, Casey Febus, and Kailyn McCue) with a special pregame ceremony. The trio of seniors were joined on the field by family and friends in recognition of their time at Salve Regina.
- Salve Regina edged the Bison 26-17 in shots with 15-9 on goal.
- The Bison held an 8-3 advantage in corners.
- Sophie Beauchesne had two defensive saves for the Seahawks.
- Senior goalie Casey Febus made four saves in the victory to improve to 5-8 between the pipes.
