MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - Senior forward Eliza Timms (Agawam, Conn.) scored twice for the Salve Regina University field hockey team as it defeated Lasell University 4-2, improving to 5-0 which matches its best start in program history.

Three Stars of the Game

  1. Salve Regina senior Eliza Timms (Agawam, Conn.) scored twice and had an assist as she continues to lead the Seahawks in scoring.
  2. Salve Regina sophomore Olivia Hussey (Hanover, Mass.) scored her first career goal in the first quarter.
  3. Lasell freshman Courtney Tello (Nashua, N.H.) made nine saves in the loss to fall to 2-3 in net for the Lasers.

Turning Point
Three unanswered goals from the Seahawks in a five-minute span gave the Seahawks a 4-1 lead in the second quarter. Lisa Ortiz (Lincoln, R.I.) scored for Lasell to even the score 1-1 in the seventh minute, but Olivia Hussey put the Seahawks back on top in the 12th on a feed from Timms. Timms scored the next two for Salve Regina on her own in the 14th and 17th to make it 4-1 Seahawks. The Lasers scored the only goal in the third, courtesy of Kensie Lennon (Jamestown, R.I.) to make it 4-2, but the Seahawks defense held the lasers to just one shot on goal the remainder of the game.
