Seahawks top Cougars; remain unbeaten

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - Four different players scored for the Salve Regina University field hockey team as they improve to 4-0 with a 4-1 victory over Clarke University in non-conference action Saturday.

Salve Regina got on the board in the first quarter on the second goal of the season from Grace Parker. The goaltenders took center stage in the second quarter as neither team could find the back of the net. In the third the Seahawks put two more up on the board. Eliza Timms knocked in her team-leading fourth goal of the season while Ashley Lefebvre's second of the year made in 3-0 Salve Regina.

Erin Hynes finally broke through for the Cougars in the fourth quarter, but Kristen Wales answered right back for the Seahawks to keep it a three-score game.

Olivia Butler remains perfect in net for the Seahakws the season making six saves in the victory to improve to 4-0, while Grace Sawyer matched her season-high with 15 saves in the loss.

Salve Regina (4-0) remains home to host Lasell on Tuesday, September 15, at 6 p.m., while Clark (0-4) will begin a four-game homestand on Tuesday versus Anna Maria.
