CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Salve Regina University football team dominated MIT, 34-7, to open its 2023 NEWMAC slate on the road at Roberts Field at Steinbrenner Stadium on Saturday afternoon. A pair of one-play drives featured Jake Stack connecting with John Hannon for 29 yards on a second-quarter touchdown and then 68 yards for a third-quarter score as the Seahawks improve to 3-1 overall and 1-0 against NEWMAC competition.

All-Time Series: In the 26th all-time meeting between Salve Regina and MIT football, today was the first with the Seahawks as a NEWMAC member. The Seahawks have won five in a row in the series and improve to 20-6 all-time against the Engineers. Today was the fourth time in 26 meetings that Salve Regina held MIT to seven (7) or fewer points, and first since 2010.
