BEVERLY, Mass. - No. 23/24 nationally ranked Endicott College defeated the Salve Regina University football team 42-10 to clinch the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championship Saturday afternoon.
The Gulls only led 7-3 after one quarter but exploded for 21 unanswered points in the second to lead 28-3 and take control of the game by the break.
Endicott put up touchdowns in each quarter of the second half to round out their scoring while the Seahawks couldn't find the endzone until Jake Stack connected with Josh Letellier for a seven-yard touchdown with 2:12 remaining in the game.
Salve Regina (5-4) returns home to host Husson in the regular season finale on November 12 at a 12 p.m.
