NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University sophomore defensive back Francisco Aguero (Miami, Fla.) as its Defensive Rookie of the Week for football (Oct. 18-24).

CCC Defensive Rookie of the Week - Aguero intercepted a pass on the final drive to seal Salve Regina's 21-14 victory over Endicott on Saturday (Oct. 23). Aguero also made two tackles in the contest and both were solo stops.

Salve Regina (7-1, 3-1 CCC) hosts Curry College this Saturday, October 30, on Toppa Field at 12 p.m.
