NEFC Defensive Player of the Week: Ethan Gambale

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University football senior Ethan Gambale (Mays Landing, N.J.) has won the Defensive Player of the Week for the New England Football Conference (NEFC).

Gambale was a disruptive force for the Seahawks' defense in Salve Regina's 52-14 victory over Nichols College. He totaled 11 tackles, nine solo, two for losses, had a sack, recovered a fumble, and broke up a pass.

Gambale leads the Seahawks with 7.5 tackles for a loss this season as part of a defense that is only allowing 12 points per game and 41 yards rushing per contest.

Salve Regina (5-0, 3-0 NEFC) will host MIT on Saturday October 22 at 12 p.m. as part of Fall Festival Weekend at Salve Regina.
