Hulme's monster game garners accolades

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University senior wide receiver Alex Hulme (Hopkinton, Mass.) has won the NEFC Offensive player of the week award for this 11 catch, 269 yard, three touchdown performance against Endicott College this past weekend.

Hulme has also been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, and an ECAC Corvias Player of the Week for Division III.

Hulme's 269 yards set a new single game program record. The record had been held by Michael Dargan who racked up 224 yards on seven catches, also against Endicott on September 26, 2009.

Hulme's three touchdown also matched his single-game high, which is also a program record. Hulme has previously scored three touchdowns in a game twice last season.

Salve Regina (4-1; 2-1 NEFC) will travel to face Nichols College this week in Dudley, Mass. at 12 p.m.
