NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University senior A.J. Albert (Franklin Park, N.J.) has been announced as a member of the Beyond Sports Network (BSN) Division III All-American Team, earning Honorable Mention recognition.

Beyond Sports Network The senior linebacker continues to add to his list of accolades, including being selected as a member of the 2011 New England Football Conference (NEFC) All-Boyd Division First Team, as well as the Capital One Academic All-America® Division III Football Team.

Albert helped lead the Seahawks to one of the most successful seasons in program history, capturing their first bowl victory in 13 years with a 26-6 win over Worcester State Univeristy in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) North-West Bowl.

A.J. helped comprise the heart and soul of the Seahawks' defense this season, playing in all 11 games while leading the team with 104 tackles, 8.0 sacks, four forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries. Most impressively, Albert ranked second in the entire nation with a total of 23.5 tackles for loss on the season.
