Dargan, Bernarducci named to NEFC Honor Roll

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University sophomore Michael Dargan (Meriden, Conn.) and senior Brian Bernarducci (Pleasantville, N.Y.) have each been named to the New England Football Conference (NEFC) Honor Roll.

 

Dargan hauled in 10 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 17-14 loss to Western New England on Saturday. His biggest play of the afternoon was a 91-yard catch and run for a touchdown, giving him a team-high six on the season. He leads the team and the NEFC in receptions (57) and receiving yards (743).

 

Bernarducci recorded a game-high 13 tackles (four solo) and one sack for Salve Regina. He ranks third on the team with 59 tackles (22 solo) to go along with two sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery.

 

The pair joins seniors Nolan McGarrity (Verona, N.J.) and Jeff St. Onge (Kingston, N.H.), junior C.J. Hein (East Sandwich, Mass.), and sophomores Shane Lange (Branford, Conn.) and Carlos Santos (Trumbull, Conn.) as Seahawks who have been named to the Honor Roll this season.

 

The Seahawks (4-5, 3-3 NEFC) close the 2009 season on Saturday when they host Plymouth State (7-2, 5-1 NEFC) at Gaudet Field at noon.
