CCC Pitcher of the Week: Patrick Maybach

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University junior Patrick Maybach (Saunderstown, R.I.) as its Pitcher of the Week for baseball (Feb. 18 - 24).

Pitcher of the Week - Maybach battled the cold 40-degree weather on opening day to toss a season-opening gem against Stevens on Friday (Feb. 22). He threw six innings, allowing four hits and one run. He also struck out 10 on the day. Three of those strikeouts came in the bottom of the second where Maybach threw an "immaculate inning," retiring the side on three strikeouts with nine pitches.

Salve Regina (1-0, 0-0 CCC) hosts Fitchburg State University on Saturday, March 2 in its 2019 home opener (1 p.m.).
