Salve Regina tabbed No. 2 seed and will host semis and finals

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) will be represented by two teams in the 2015 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Baseball Championship.

After finishing the season at 26-18, Framingham State University (26-18) was tabbed the top-seed in the 2015 ECAC New England Baseball Championship. The tournament, which features a five-team field, will be played this coming weekend on the campus of Salve Regina University (24-16), which earned the two-seed in the tournament. Rounding out the top-three seeds was Massachusetts Maritime Academy (17-12). The top three seeds will all receive byes into the weekend tournament.

No. 4 Western New England University (18-18, 11-5) will host No. 5 Worcester Polytechnic Institute (21-15, 9-8) in quarterfinal action on Wednesday, May 6. The winning institution will advance to play on Saturday.

Quarterfinal - Wednesday, May 6 at Western New England University
No. 4 Western New England University vs. No. 5 Worcester Polytechnic Institute,  3:30 p.m. 

Semifinals - Saturday, May 9 at Salve Regina University (Reynolds Field)
No. 2 Salve Regina University vs. No. 3 Massachusetts Maritime Academy, 11 a.m.
No.1 Framingham State University vs. Western New England/Worcester Polytechnic Institute, 2:30 p.m.

Championship - Sunday, May 10 at Salve Regina University (Reynolds Field)
Winner of Semifinal 1 vs. Winner of Semifinal 2,  12 p.m.

All games in Newport will feature live stats and video broadcast with play-by-play audio.
