Bio

In her role as vice president, Morgan is the second-in-command and assists Justice in his responsibilities as president.

My name is Morgan Shuey and I am starting my junior year at Salve this fall. I am from a very small town located in Southwest Iowa. While at Salve I am majoring in Healthcare Administration and minoring in Business Administration. You can also find me on the basketball court here as I am a member of the Women's Basketball team! Some of the activities I like to do outside of basketball include: hiking with my two dogs, going to the beach, and fly fishing!

In terms of previous work experience, this summer I had the privilege of interning the Executive Director of two long-term care facilities back in my hometown. Not only did it help to broaden my knowledge on the various areas within the healthcare field, but I was able to develop a passion for pursing a career as a future long-term care administrator!

I am very excited to be the Vice President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee this year. I am looking to bring in new ideas to the community as well as continue the many Salve traditions that have been offered to our wonderful community over previous years. By putting our best foot foward, we can make the transition and assuring that Salve Regina continues to promote the five critical concerns of mercy: Race, Earth, Women, Immigration, and Non-Violence. By cultivating the spirit of Mercy within ourselves we can see, care, and act for the good of others both in and outside of athletics as it is part of our mission at Salve Regina to do so.

Go Seahawks!
