NEWPORT, R.I. – Salve Regina University has landed 31 student-athletes on the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) 2012-13 Winter/Spring Academic All-Conference Team, announced Friday, June 7 by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.

WENHAM, MASS. – The Curry College softball team used a seven-run first inning to defeat Salve Regina in the Commonwealth Coast Conference championship tournament, Thursday afternoon.

NEWPORT, R.I. – The salve Regina softball team walked off with an 8-0 win over Gordon in the Commonwealth Coast Conference play in game, Saturday afternoon at Toppa Field. After taking a 7-0 lead into the sixth inning, senior Jillian Quintana (Denver, Colo.) hit a sacrifice fly to score junior Marissa Simpson (Brimfield, Mass.) and give the Seahawks 8-0 win over Gordon.

Five Seahawks earn all-conference accolades

NEWPORT, R.I. - After finishing fifth in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) regular season, Salve Regina University softball placed five of its players on the all-conference teams. Seniors Jen Cruver (North Haven, Conn.), Ali Muehlbronner (Glenside, Pa.), Jillian Quintana (Denver, Colo.) and junior Sara Nelson (Bristol, Conn.) and sophomore Lauren Nicholson (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) represent the Seahawks on the all-league team as announced by commissioner Gregg Kaye.

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott softball team got go-ahead homeruns in both games of a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) doubleheader against Salve Regina on Sunday afternoon, as the Gulls earned 2-1 and 4-3 wins over the Seahawks to clinch the top seed in the upcoming CCC Tournament.

NEWPORT, R.I. – The Salve Regina softball team fought through less than ideal conditions as the Seahawks split their Senior Day doubleheader against Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent, Gordon, Friday afternoon. The Seahawks won the first game 6-0 before falling to the Scots 3-0 in the nightcap.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Senior Ali Muehlbronner (Glenside, Pa.) and freshman Melissa Figueiredo (East Bridgewater, Mass.) delivered back-to-back RBI singles in the fifth inning as Salve Regina University softball held on for a 2-1 victory in the opener of a twinbill with Lesley University, ending the Lynx' win streak at 10 games.

NEWPORT, R.I. – Senior Jen Cruver faced the minimum number of batters in a five inning perfect game to open the Commonwealth Coast Conference doubleheader against Wentworth. The Seahawks swept the first twin bill, taking the first game 8-0 before downing the Leopards 10-0 in the finale.

BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England softball team plated three runs in the bottom of the 7th to take the opener of its Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) doubleheader against Salve Regina University, 4-3, before overcoming an early deficit to notch a 6-3 victory later on Saturday afternoon (Apr. 13) at Claude Dubois Field.

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Salve Regina softball team suffered a doubleheader sweep at the hands of Eastern Connecticut State on a chilly Thursday evening at Toppa Field. The Warriors 11 runs in their final three at bats to take the first game, 16-5, before plating two insurance runs in the sixth inning of the second game to defeat the Seahawks, 8-4.
