NEWPORT, R.I. - After falling in a close match at second doubles, Salve Regina University men's tennis senior Matt Gingras (Wethersfield, Conn.) and sophomore Will Masse (Wyoming, R.I.) both took singles victories, but visiting Wentworth Institute of Technology took the team score, 7-2, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action in Newport.

Tuesday's scheduled match between Salve Regina and Wentworth will be postponed until Wednesday, April 27 (3:30 p.m.).

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University men's tennis will host its final Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) match of the year with Wentworth Institute of Technology on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 (3:30 p.m.) after Tuesday's forecast forces a postponement from the original date.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Visiting Endicott College men's tennis won three doubles matches against Salve Regina University just as it had done four days ago when hosting four-time defending Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) champion Nichols College. Only this time, the Gulls completed the sweep by claiming all six singles matches in straight sets.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Four-time defending Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's tennis champion Nichols College swept nine matches at Salve Regina University on Wednesday. The two schools have combined to win 22 titles in the last 25 years in men's tennis - Salve Regina with 15 and Nichols with seven.

WINCHESTER, Mass. (Winchester Indoor Courts) - Kevin Brocks (Albany, N.Y.) and Jeremiah Callahan (Hendersonville, N.C.) paired for an 8-5 win at third doubles for Salve Regina University men's tennis, but the Seahawks fell, 8-1, to the host Lions of Emerson College at the indoor tennis courts in Winchester.

Salve Regina (2-3) took two doubles matches to open the contest. Sophomore Jack Lawlor (York, Maine) paired with classmate Donovan Gangwere (Exton, Pa.) to defeat the RIC (0-3) duo of sophomore Brett Taggart (North Kingstown, R.I.) and sophomore Lee Tiberi (Smithfield, R.I.), 8-4, at No. 1 doubles.
