NEWPORT, R.I. - After falling in a close match at second doubles, Salve Regina University men's tennis senior Matt Gingras (Wethersfield, Conn.) and sophomore Will Masse (Wyoming, R.I.) both took singles victories, but visiting Wentworth Institute of Technology took the team score, 7-2, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action in Newport.

Series and Streaks
Today's Commonwealth Coast Conference dual match marked the 30th meeting between Wentworth and Salve Regina. The Seahawks own a 23-7 mark in the all-time series, but have now lost four in a row to the Leopards.

1 – Wentworth senior James Drum (Madison, Conn.) - wins at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles
2 – Wentworth sophomore Henry Tittman (Cambridge, Mass.) – wins at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles
3 – Salve Regina senior Matt Gingras (Wethersfield, Conn.) – wins his final collegiate match, in straight sets, at fourth singles

Clinching Point
Drum banged home the deciding point with his straight set win against Salve Regina's Lawlor. Both had faced Curry's Toma Blatchford with Lawlor taking a straight set victory and Drum falling in a third-set tiebreak.
