Cockinos named NSCRO Rhino Player of the Month

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University women's rugby senior Zoe Cockinos (Englewood, N.J.) has been named Rhino Player of the Month by the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO).

 

At the 2020 NSCRO Women's 7's All-Star Championship Zoe's performance helped the Colonial Coast All-Stars lift the Championship Trophy for the first time. She scored the first try in her team's semi final win over the 2019 champions the Prairie States All Stars. In the final against the 2018 Champions, the South All Stars, Zoe made a try saving tackle in the first period of sudden death overtime before scoring the game winning try in the second period. 

She was selected for the All Championship team and was awarded the Championship MVP.
