NEWPORT, R.I. - A game-high 21 points from Sarah Dempsey and a double-double from Tara Laugeni helped the visiting Endicott College women's basketball team defeat Salve Regina University 68-59 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play Wednesday evening.

WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior guard Morgan Shuey nearly had a triple double for the Salve Regina University women's basketball team as it defeated Clark University 72-62 in non-conference play to improve to 4-0 for the first time since 2010.

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. - A 16-8 run followed by 11 made free throws helped the Salve Regina University women's basketball team defeat UMass Dartmouth on the road Wednesday night in non-conference action.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Freshman forward Sofia Neary scored a game-high 17 points off the bench and added 14 rebounds to lead the Salve Regina University women's basketball team in a 70-55 victory over Johnson & Wales University in non-conference action.

Neary double-double leads Seahawks on opening night

NEWPORT, R.I. - Junior forward Briana Neary posted 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Salve Regina University women's basketball team to a 69-58 victory over visiting Salem State University in non-conference action Thursday evening.

Comprising the Hall of Fame's 14th induction class are six athletes - Kelly Burke '13 (field hockey, lacrosse), Beth Gemma '95 (soccer, basketball), Sarah Jakiela '10 (softball), Ryan Kelly '16 (football, baseball), Brian Walker '09 (lacrosse), Steve Wilken '15 (football) - plus two former coaches and administrators - Trish Cronin and Mick Klitzner.

NEWPORT, R.I. (August 4, 2022) - Jody Mooradian, director of athletics at Salve Regina since January 2016, has announced her retirement in September. Bill Villareal will step away from his head coaching duties of the women’s lacrosse team after eight seasons and will take on additional duties in his new role as acting director of athletics.

Salve Regina University will join the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) as its newest member institution following unanimous support from the NEWMAC Presidents Council. Salve Regina will become the conference's 12th core member effective July 1, 2023 and will begin participating in conference play during the 2023-2024 academic year.
