NEWPORT, R.I. - The Salve Regina University field hockey team has been announced as a recipient of the 2014 Gladiator by SGI/Division III National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Academic Team Award, while 13 Seahawk players were named to the 2014 NFHCA Academic Squad

NEWPORT, R.I. – Salve Regina University has landed 53 student-athletes on the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) 2014 Fall Academic All-Conference Team, announced Friday, January 23, by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.

DUDLEY, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) senior woman's administrators hosted their annual meeting today (December 15) at Nichols College in Dudley, Mass.

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Salve Regina University field hockey team recently held its season-ending banquet at the Young Building which houses the Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy on the school's campus.

Lindsey Mazzola scored in the 16th minute to tie the game at 1-1, but Plymouth got the go-ahead and game winner before halftime.

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - Salve Regina University junior Marissa Gagnon (Smithfield, R.I.) scored a pair of goals, one in each half, to lead the Seahawk field hockey team to a 2-1 victory over visiting Anna Maria College in first-round action of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) DIII New England Championships at Gaudet Field.

Salve Regina and Anna Maria field hockey will meet for the 17th time, but the first since 2010 and also a first-time meeting at Gaudet Field in an ECAC quarterfinal.

BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Senior Alexandria Rizzo (Hopedale, Mass.) converted a penalty stroke in the 38th minute, slicing the deficit in half (2-1), but fourth-seeded Salve Regina University field hockey fell, 4-1, to top-seeded University of New England during semifinal action of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships.

Abigail Tepper, Julia Grover, and Murphy McCann were selected to the All-CCC squad at first, second, and honorable mention, respectively.
