Salve Regina Athletic Hall of Fame - Lynn Sheedy '93M

Lynn Sheedy '93M - served as director of athletics for nine seasons which saw the department grow from 14 to 18 varsity sports. Her tenure helped usher in football, field hockey, and men's ice hockey to NCAA Division III status. Before and during her administrative role, Sheedy also coached teams to championship levels. Five seasons with women's basketball, her Newporters went 72-39 (.649), won three straight regular-season championships and two-straight conference tournament crowns, while becoming the first program in school history to advance to an ECAC postseason tournament. Two seasons with women's soccer, Sheedy capped her Salve Regina coaching résumé with the program's first conference championship.
