Allegra Lovoy '09 - the school's female athlete of the year in 2008-09, Lovoy was the constant for two Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's basketball championships under two different head coaches (2007 - A. Van Voorhis; 2009 - C. Hughes). Graduating with 1,309 career points, at the time the third-best mark in school history, Lovoy owns Salve Regina's best-ever free throw percentage (.759; 245-323). Her scoring totals progressed by at least 45 points each season to cap with a then school-record 495 as a senior (17.1 ppg). The point guard also produced a top ten rebound total (665) while graduating as the all-time leader in assists (512). With the Seahawks seeded fifth for the CCC Championships in 2009, Lovoy led the team to three upset victories on the road scoring 28, 23, and 27 points while averaging over eight rebounds per game. In the championship game, Lovoy hit a 55-foot 3-pointer as time expired just before halftime to pull the Seahawks within one point (37-36) at the break; she finished with a game-high 27 points as Salve Regina won its seventh title all-time.
