CCC Runner/Rookie of Week: Aubrey Palmquist
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Salve Regina University freshman Aubrey Palmquist (Bristol, Conn.) set the pace for the Seahawks this weekend as the team took second place in the Western New England Invitational. Palmquist finished fourth among 212 runners, and led the Seahawks with a time of 19:23. Palmquist also tallied the fastest performance among CCC runners.
This marks the second straight week Palmquist has garnered the conference's top rookie accolades and third time overall. It also marks her first time recognized as the league's top overall runner.
In addition to Palmquist's effort, Salve Regina witnessed personal seasonal bests from Rachel Gedansky (by 2 secs.*), Grace Mills (by 24 secs.*), Joelle Ross (by 13 secs.*), and Danielle Schioppo (by 26 secs.).
The Seahawks return to action on Friday at the CCSU Mini-Meet.
