Seahawks finish ahead of 26 schools at UMass Dartmouth

NO. DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The Salve Regina University women's cross country team ran to a 12th place finish out of 38 competing school at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday.

Freshman Aubrey Palmquist (Bristol, Conn.) and junior Ema Waldschmidt (Verbank, N.Y.) led the way finishing 34th (19:20:97) and 53rd (19:49:76) overall, respectively. Freshmen Rachel Gedansky (Tolland, Conn.) and Joelle Ross (Simsbury, Conn.) also performed well, finishing less than a second apart with times of 20:11:73 and 20:12:12, respectively. Freshman Jackie Ofria (Manchester, Conn.), senior Alexis Gallipoli (Branford, Conn.), freshman Shannon Holden (Hingham, Mass.), and freshman Lea Cure (Altamont, N.Y.) rounded-out the Salve Regina lineup.

The Seahawks will be back in action this Saturday at the Wesleyan Invitational in Wesleyan, Conn.
