CCC Track and Field Athletes of the Week: Olivia Owen and Seahawk relay mates recognized

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University junior Olivia Owen (Weymouth, Mass.) as its Track Athlete of the Week for women's track and field (March 18-24).

Track Athlete of the Week - Owen earned a second place finish at the Bridgewater State Bears Track & Field Invitational. She ran her 10-kilometer race in 40:37.61. Owen's finish added eight points to the Seahawks 59-point total, ranking them sixth in the meet and fourth among NCAA DIII teams.

Relay Team of the Week - Salve Regina 4x100 Erin Gunther (Sr.), Jenna Bryden (Fr.), Natalie Kopiec (Sr.), Madison Stanley (Jr.) - The Salve Regina 4x100-meter relay team posted a time of 53.34 at the Bridgewater State Bears Track & Field Invitational. The team, which consisted of Erin Gunther (Sayville, N.Y.), Jenna Bryden (Northford, Conn.), Natalie Kopiec (Manchester, Conn.), and Madison Stanley (Warwick, R.I.) earned a third place finish.
