Gildea competes in the 200m and 400m dash as well as the 4x100m relay event. Jacobsen competes in the 100m and the 4x100m relay.

Both Gildea and Jacobsen are members of The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) All-Academic team. Gildea is a nursing major while Jacobsen is a marketing major.

"Caroline and Kelsey are very similar in their approach," said Hird. "They are both hard trainers and fierce competitors and should serve as good role models for our team which is very young, consisting almost entirely of freshmen and sophomores. We look forward to a great season under their leadership."
