NEWPORT, R.I. – The Salve Regina University women's soccer got a pair of second-half goals from a pair of freshmen on Senior Day in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action against Babson College at rainy Toppa Field on Saturday afternoon. The visiting Beavers scored one in the first half, took a 2-0 lead on a Salve Regina own goal, and then held on for the 3-2 final and improve to 9-5-2 overall and 7-1-1 in league play. The Seahawks fall to 4-7-4 overall and 2-7-0 in the NEWMAC.

  • Babson controlled the play in the first half with 11 shots, but the Seahawks limited the Beavers to five in the second half while attempting eight of their own.
  • The Beavers had six more corner kicks (9 to 3) than the Seahawks.
  • Babson was flagged five times for offsides, none for Salve Regina.
