Women's Soccer #5 - Third straight year for women's soccer with highest GPA in department (January 23, 2015)
NEWPORT, R.I. - For the third straight year, Salve Regina women's soccer stands on top of the list of 19 sports at the university in terms of grade point average.
Last fall, this Seahawk team produced a dozen qualifiers for the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) All-Academic Team. To qualify for the team, a student athlete must be at least a sophomore at his/her institution and have at least a 3.30 grade point average.

Considering that 10 of the Seahawks' 26-member roster are freshmen and therefore ineligible for the award makes the list of a dozen honorees even more impressive. Oesterle, who will serve as a captain this coming fall, claimed the highest GPA of any of her teammates.
