BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University women's soccer team moved on to the CCC Semifinals via a 3-1 win against Salve Regina University Saturday afternoon. Roger Williams entered the game as the #2 seed in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament. The Hawks move to 11-6-2 on the season and will host #3 Endicott in the semis. Seventh-seeded Salve Regina ends the year with a record of 8-10-1.

Katie Lydon (Riverside, R.I.) began the scoring for the Hawks in the 26th minute, taking a pass from Hannah Noel (Adams, Mass.) and putting in her eighth goal of the season.

Mariah Kaiser (Portsmouth, R.I.) added another score early in the second half. Noel fed Kaiser with a long pass up the middle to Kaiser, setting up a one-on-one opportunity with Seahawk keeper Jacqueline McPherson (Mansfield, Mass.). Kaiser was able to beat McPherson and put in the Hawks' second goal at the 47:01 mark.

Devon Wolfenden (East Longmeadow, Mass.) gave the Hawks a 3-0 lead 57:39 into the game, taking a long pass from Kristen Tetreault (Tolland, Conn.) and scoring her second goal of the year.

Salve Regina was able to get on the board in the 83 minute. Caitlin Eastwood (Seymour, Conn.) put in the Seahawks' only score of the game off of a corner kick by Ashley Jamieson (Warwick, R.I.). However, that would be all Salve Regina could muster as the Hawks held on for the win.

Stephanie Jaques (Burlington, Vt.) earned her 11th win of the season, making three saves in the game. McPherson stopped 12 shots in the loss.

The Hawks outshot Salve Regina 23-9 in the game.
