Madden's goal with a one-person advantage came in with just under two minutes to play in the first quarter. The Warriors commanded the second period with four goals which were counteracted by the Seahawks' two, made by Edie Threshie and Cameron Baston. It was a 4-3 game with the Warriors ahead by one going into halftime.

Kayli Garcia netted the first goal of the fourth period (from Edie Threshie). Threshie sent a long pass from beside the net over to Garcia who launched the ball, bouncing it on the tuff, beyond the diving Warriors' goalie. Following the Seahawk success, the Warriors found two more goals, both occurring with a one-person advantage on the field in the third quarter. Samantha Moleti's two goals and Alix Madden's game tying goal in the fourth quarter sent the Seahawks and Warriors into a sudden victory overtime period.
