Summary
MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - Ten different players scored for the Salve Regina University women's lacrosse team in a wire-to-wire victory over visiting Nichols College in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Tuesday evening.

Series and Streaks
The Seahawks have won seven in a row over the Bison and improve to 19-3 in the all-time series.

Three Stars of the Game

  1. Salve Regina senior Nicole Smith (North Attleboro, Mass.) scored six times and dished out two assists while grabbing nine draw controls to move into second all-time in program history with 178 career draw controls.
  2. Salve Regina freshman Samantha Moleti (Township of Washington, N.J.) scored three times and had two assists.
  3. Salve Regina freshman Grace Haesche (Wariwck, N.Y.) made eight saves with a 72% save percentage to improve to 5-2 between the pipes.

Turning Point
The Seahawks scored the first nine goals of the game spanning into the second quarter. Mackenzie Doran (Wolfenboro, N.H.) scored on the man-up to finally put the Bison on the board, but the Seahawks would answer with seven more goals in a row to put the game out of reach.

Quick Hits

  • Doran finished with two goals for the Bison as did teammate, and the CCC's leading scorer, Hadley Houghton (Madison, Conn.).
  • Keri Tremblay (Stow, Mass.) made seven saves to fall to 3-1 in net in 30 minutes of action. Senior netminder Sabrina Dembro (Saugus, Mass.) made two saves in the second half.
  • Salve Regina held a 37-18 edge in shots and 30-15 in shots on goal.
