Seahawks announce captains for 2017

NEWPORT, R.I. - Head Coach Bill Villareal is excited to announce the team captains for the 2017 Salve Regina University women's lacrosse season.  Each year, the team selects up to three senior team captains and one junior captain.

"I'm very excited for the 2017 women's lacrosse season," said Villareal.  "I look forward to having these outstanding players lead the team throughout the 2017 season".

Senior defensive midfielder Jacqueline Pilatti (South Windsor, Conn.) was selected as a senior team captain following her selection as the junior team captain during the 2016 season.  "Jacqueline is a solid and dependable player who has a relentless drive and work ethic," says head coach Villareal.

Senior attackman Courtney Moulton (Merrimack, N.H.) was selected as a senior team captain.  Moulton is a two-sport athlete and team captain in both lacrosse and women's hockey. "She is a reliable attack player who will help guide our young group of attack players," said Villareal.

Senior defensive midfielder Caroline Dupre  (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) was selected as a senior team captain. "Another solid player on the defensive end who relies on her disciplined positioning to complete this experienced defensive unit," said Villareal.

Junior midfielder Brianna Wilcox (Somers, Conn.) was selected as the junior team captain. "This highly respected and talented midfielder works extremely hard and is a very positive role model for all of her teammates," said Villareal.
