SEAHAWK WOMEN'S ICE HOCKEY RESULTS
Endicott 6, Salve Regina 2
St. George's - Middletown, R.I.
Friday, January 24, 2020

Summary
MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - Visiting Endicott College scored four times in the third period to fend off the Salve Regina University women's ice hockey team and claim a 6-2 victory and remain unbeaten in Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) play.

Series and Streaks
The Gulls lead the all-time series 8-0-2.

Three Stars of the Game

  1. Endicott sophomore Courtney Sullivan (North Yarmouth, Mass.) scored twice in the first period.
  2. Endicott sophomore Meaghan Francis (Woodbridge, Conn.) scored at 15:14 of the third to reestablish a two-goal lead for the Gulls and thwart the Seahawks comeback momentum.
  3. Salve Regina sophomore Madison Jalbert (Beverly, Mass.) made 40 saves in the loss to fall to 4-13-0 on the season

Turning Point
After trailing 2-0 the Seahawks scored the only goal of the second period to draw within a single score to begin the third. Jacy Kuhlman (Severna Park, Md.) netted a goal at 8:05 to push the lead back to 3-1; however, the Seahawks would not go quietly. Cassidy Lariviere (Marstons Mills, Mass.) scored her first career goal on a wraparound at 11:38 of third and once again, it was a one-score game. With the game again in doubt, the Gulls found another gear and scored three goals in 94 seconds. First, Meaghan Francis stole the puck and knifed it past Jalbert, and then both Kat Keith (Westwood, Mass.) and Jillian Gibbs (Burlington, Vt.) scored on breakouts to help ice the game for the Gulls.
