Series and Streaks
The Ravens take a 3-2-1 lead in the all-time series and have won three in a row in the series.

Three Stars of the Game

  1. Franklin Pierce sophomore Haley Parker (Londonderry, N.H.) scored her 12th goal of the season with 43 seconds left in the second period to break a 1-1 tie. It proved to be the game-winning goal.
  2. Salve Regina sophomore Gretchen Howard (Wintrhop, Mass.) tied a career-high by making 45 saves in the loss to fall to 2-7-0 in net on the season.
  3. Franklin Pierce freshman Emme Ostrander (Westborough, Mass.) made 20 saves in the win and improves to 8-4-0 between the pipes for the Ravens.

Turning Point
Meg Gilbride (Braintree, Mass.) and Nicole Amato (Billerica, Mass.) set up Parker for the go-ahead score late in the second period, then Stephanie Proteau (Wolcott, Conn.) scored her second goal of the season to give the Ravens some breathing room at 14:32 of the third. Salve Regina pulled the goalie and had a full two minutes of time with the extra attacker, but could not find the back of the net again.

Quick Hits

  • The Seahawks fell behind 1-0 when an initial shot from the Ravens that had been waved off as a goal was later discussed and then awarded to Marissa Massaro (Brockton, Mass.). Time was added back on the clock and the Ravens were given a 1-0 lead with 13:38 to play in the second period. The Seahawks responded, killing off a penalty, then earning a powerplay of their own that Lexie Anderson (San Francisco, Calif.) capitalized on to knot the score 1-1 midway through the second period.
  • The Ravens outshot the Seahawks 48-21.
  • Salve Regina went 1-for-3 on the powerplay while the Ravens went 0-for-4 with the man advantage.
