Trailing 1-0 since the first period, the Seahawks played with incredible energy and urgency for the duration of the third period in search of the equalizer. The Seahawks generated some of their best scoring chances of the game as the period wore on but shots either just missed, or were blocked by the defense, keeping the Seahawks off the board. With 1:15 left to play the Seahawks pulled O'Connell for the extra skater, but Lilly Connolly intercepted the puck at center and fed it into the empty net to seal the win for the Camels.

• Dylann Nasr (Reston, Va.) made nine saves in the contest, her first of the season, to earn the victory.
• Wilke's goal came after a shot from the point was tipped in front, bouncing next to the goal, where she was able to jam it past O'Connell in a crowd of Seahawks for the game's first score.
