Cronin garners All-NEHC honors

NEWPORT, R.I. - Senior defenseman and team captain Amanda Cronin (Medfield, Mass.) of the Salve Regina University women's ice hockey team has been named a second-team All-Conference defenseman for the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC).

Cronin posted a career high and team-leading 15 goals this season, leading the NEHC in goals by a defenseman. She also handed out nine assist to rank third in the NEHC for overall point scoring by a defenseman. This is her second time being named to an All-Conference team after being named an All-ECAC Women's East defenseman in 2015.

Cronin and the Seahawks (6-18-1, 5-11-1 NEHC) travel to UMass Boston this Saturday, February 25 for a 3 p.m. matchup against the defending conference champion Beacons in the quarterfinal round of the NEHC Playoffs.
