PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Senior Rachel Porter (Franklin, Mass.) tied Salve Regina women's ice hockey program's all-time points record as scored a goal and handed out an assist in the Seahawks 4-0 win over Plymouth State, Saturday afternoon.

Porter entered the game with 93 points in her career and after picking up two this afternoon brought her total to 95 to tie Caitlin Campbell (53 g – 42 a).

Salve Regina won its fourth straight game and improved to 12-7-0 overall and 8-4-0 in the ECAC East, while PSU dips to 3-14-2 overall, 2-8-2 in league play.

Porter took pass on the left from sophomore Sarah Markey (Ashland, Mass.) and snapped a wrist shot to the top left for her fifth goal of the season and the eventual game-winner at the 14:31 mark in the opening frame.

Porter added her team-leading 16th assist on the season as her and freshman Kimberly Spring (Kensington, Conn.) sent the puck to the net to set up freshman Danielle Phalon's (Stoneham, Mass.) for her 10th of the season.

Senior Samantha Zitzer (River Forest, Ill.) broke in alone on the goalie after making nice move around a defender with five minutes to go in the second period, and roofed a shot for her fifth of the campaign and a 3-0 Seahawk lead through two.

Freshman Britani Dunbar (Swampscott, Mass.) capped off the Seahawks' scoring with the first goal of her career. Dunbar took a pass from classmate Molly O'Sullivan (Duxbury, Mass.) to bring the score to its final, 4-0 in favor of the Seahawks.

Senior goalie Ali Muehlbronner (Glenside, Pa.) needed just 10 saves in her 12th win of the season between the pipes while PSU junior netminder Ali Ponte (Richmond Hill, Ont.) made 29 saves while suffering the loss.

The Seahawks return to the ice when they come home to host UMass. – Boston on Feb. 1 with a 7:30 p.m. start. Salve Regina will celebrate its seniors when they host St. Anslem on Feb. 2 at 7 p.m.
