CCC Rookie of the Week: Briana Neary

Briana Neary helped the Seahawks to a 2-0 week and win their third straight.

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University sophomore Briana Neary (Wayne, N.J.) as its Rookie of the Week for women's basketball.

CCC Rookie of the Week - Neary was great in two conference victories for Salve Regina this week as the Seahawks improved to 3-0 in CCC play. She opened with a career-high 28 points against Curry on Tuesday (Dec. 7), while adding eight rebounds and an assist in a 68-58 win. She followed up that performance with 14 points, nine rebounds, and assist in an 80-73 victory over Nichols. For the week she averaged 21.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game and shot 58-.1 percent (18-for-31) from the floor.

Salve Regina (4-5, 3-0 CCC) returns to the floor on January 4 with a home game versus Wentworth at 5:30 p.m., in CCC action.
