NEWPORT, R.I. (January 25, 2020) -- University of New England senior Sadie Nelson (Windham, Maine) scored a game-high 26 points as the Nor'easters defeated Salve Regina University, 60-47, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's basketball action at the Rodgers Recreation Center on Saturday afternoon.

- Nor'easter senior guard Sadie Nelson (Windham, Maine) made nine-of-17 from the floor, including two treys, and all six free throws for a game-high 26 points. She also shared game-high rebounding honors (nine) with teammate Sierra Tartre (Kennebunk, Maine).
- Seahawk senior Torie Scorpio (Cranston, R.I.) made five field goals, including two 3-pointers, and had team-highs in rebounds (six) and assists (five).

Sadie Nelson's 3-pointer at the 4:20 mark in the first quarter put the Nor'easters up 7-5, and after Noelle Mancini's (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) layup tied the score, Faith Connors (North Andover, Mass) nailed a deep three to start an 8-0 run for the visitors. Salve Regina got as close as three points on two more occasions following 3-pointers from Scorpio and Gabby Sousa (Hudson, N.H.) in the first minute of the second quarter.
