SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced its all-league women's basketball team today and three Salve Regina University players were voted to the squad - senior Marissa Pendergast (Medfield, Mass.), junior Brianna Del Valle (Belchertown, Mass.), and sophomore Meaghan Harden (Sandwich, Mass.).

Pendergast makes first team as the league's leading rebounder. She became the 12th player in Salve Regina women's basketball history to reach the 1,000-point milestone (January 11, 2014 - game recap). The only player in the league averaging a double-double, Pendergast has recorded double figures in points and rebounds 11 times this season. She has matched her career-high in rebounds (15) three times this season, most recently in a 70-57 victory on senior day against Curry (February 22, 2014).

Harden, the 2012-13 CCC Rookie of the Year, returns to the first team all-conference. Currently leading the league in scoring, she has totaled 25 or more points in nine games this season, including matching her career-high with 30 points at Gordon (February 15, 2014). Harden is one of only three players in Seahawk women's basketball history to have multiple 30-point games, joining the top two scorers of all-time, Alyssa Ricci and Erin Phillips. The second-year player became the quickest Seahawk to reach 900 career points during that effort against the Scots.

Del Valle earned a selection to the all-conference third team, her first recognition by the league's coaches. The junior forward ranks fifth in the league in field goal percentage and has posted nine double-doubles to challenge Pendergast's team lead. She scored a career-high 24 points in a win at Nichols (February 1, 2014). Del Valle's career-high 22 rebounds in a win at Curry (January 18, 2014) trail only Kerry Ceurvels' FOUR individual game marks (26 at Wentworth on January 27, 1993; and three times with 24 rebounds).

"I am happy for and proud of all three of these student-athletes," says seventh-year head coach Cori Hughes. "Their recognition is well deserved. All of them have battled through injury and illness all season long, and have come through for us time and time again. I am trusting that the 'Big Three' will continue to lead us to success in the playoffs as well!"

The fourth-seeded Seahawks tip off at 6 p.m. tonight against fifth-seeded Curry College at the Rodgers Recreation Center. Salve Regina, reaching the finals each of the last three seasons, seeks its unprecedented 10th conference championship in women's basketball.
